Honey Do List!
Most people use honey to sweeten drinks or food, but did you know honey can be used in a lot of natural remedies? I want to preface this by saying the only one I have tried is the insect bite remedy. I have pulled these from a reliable source though! Let me know what you think when you try one!
INSECT BITES: Take one part honey to two parts of lukewarm water and add a small teaspoon of cinnamon powder, make a paste and massage it on the insect bite slowly. The pain and itch should recede within a minute or two.
BLADDER INFECTIONS: Combine two tablespoons of cinnamon powder and one teaspoon of honey in a glass of lukewarm water and drink it. It destroys the germs in the bladder.
PIMPLES: Combine three tablespoons of Honey and one teaspoon of cinnamon powder in to a paste. Apply the paste on the pimples before sleeping and wash it next morning with warm water. If done daily for two weeks, it removes pimples from the root.
SKIN INFECTIONS: Apply honey and cinnamon powder in equal parts on the affected part. Cures eczema, ringworm and all types of skin infections
I am interested in trying this one! I may start tomorrow
Cinnamon and Honey formula for weight loss:
This should be prepared at night before going to bed.
1. Use 1 part cinnamon to 2 parts raw honey. 1/2 tsp cinnamon to 1 tsp honey is recommended but can use more or less as long as in the ratio of 1 to 2. --- so 1 tsp cinnamon to 2 tsp raw honey is ok too as an example.
2. Boil 1 cup...that is 8 oz of water.
3. Pour water over cinnamon and cover and let it steep for 1/2 hour..(30 minutes)
4. Add honey now that it has cooled. Never add honey when it is hot as the heat will destroy the enzymes and other nutrients in the raw honey.
5. Drink 1/2 of this directly before going to bed. The other 1/2 should be covered and refrigerated.
6. In the morning drink the other half that you refirgerated...but do not re-heat it...drink it cold or at room temp only.
Do not add anything else to this recipe. No lemon, no lime, no vinegar. It is not necessary to drink it more time in a day...it is only effective on an empty stomach and primarily at night.
This works for most people. Inches are lost before any measurement on the scales. This program will cause significant inches lost...but you will reach a plateau and may not lose anymore. This is because the cinnamon and honey cause a cleansing effect in the digestive tract and cleans out parasites and other fungus and bacteria that slow down the digestion...causing a toxic build up. (Lowers pH) Once this is all cleaned out then you will most likely have the weight loss slow down.
Other side effects from a cleansing can occur because of toxins being released...if this occurs, cut back on how much you use or take a break.
Additionally people report increased energy, more sex drive, and feeling happier/mood enhancer.

Natural Fabric Softener
Instead of buying expensive commercial fabric softener, invest in a large bottle of Distilled White Vinegar! All you have to do to have soft clothes is add 1/2 Cup of vinegar to the rinse cycle or if your machine has a spot for softener put it in there. That's it! Simple, right? I have been doing this for months now, and I love the way my clothes turn out. I have not had any issues with my clothes smelling like vinegar, but if you wash a load and they do, add 5-6 drops of an essential oil with the vinegar. I have been using this with my Lavender Lemon laundry detergent ( http://www.etsy.com/listing/44433157/natural-liquid-laundry-detergent-2x ) and my clothes always come out smelling great!
Natural Drain Clog Opener
While Drano is great for getting rid of clogs, it also has a bunch of harmful chemicals! Here is an easy (and cost effective) way to clean your drains.
Ingredients:
3/4 Cup of Baking Soda
1/2 Cup of White Vinegar (others vinegars may work but this is the one I use)
If the sink has a stopper that will come out, remove it. This will make your job much easier! If it doesn't come out this will still work you just may have to break the process down in to 2 or 3 applications.
1. Pour baking soda in to the dry drain.
2. Pour vinegar into the drain and immediately cover with a drain stopper or rag, completely filling the hole. The reaction of the two will create a lot of foam that will spill out of the drain. You want to keep it down there so that it will push out the clog.
3. Allow to sit for 30 minutes.
4. After 30 minutes unplug the hole and pour hot water down the drain. You can boil water for this process or just use the regular hot tap water.
Not only will this unclog your drains but it will also deodorize them as well!!

Welcome!
Welcome to my blog! I am Cassie from Cassie's Creations! I started hand making natural hand soaps, laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent, hand sanitizer, body wash, lotions, and lip balms almost a year ago because I want the best for my family. Commercial products have a lot of chemicals in them that I can't pronounce. Most of those chemicals are toxic not only to the environment but to you too. The majority of my products are made with 100% natural ingredients with the exception of items that are scented with cosmetic grade fragrances. However, there is such a small percentage of this scent (less than 1%) that this allows me to still classify my items as natural. If you are wanting an item that is 100% natural, then check out my list of Essential Oils! A list of all currently available scents can be seen here http://www.etsy.com/shop_policy.php?user_id=8230647 and have been seperated by cosmetic grade fragrances and essential oils. While creating my products, I often come across natural ways to complete every day household chores. This blog is my way of sharing these awesome finds! Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have! Thanks for following my blog!
